The

he comes across a clean, attractive, comfortable and welcoming surrounding at
all times- Thanks to the Housekeeping Department. No level of service,
friendliness, or glamour can match up the sensation a guest has upon entering a
spotless, tidy and conveniently arranged room.
The
hotel survives on the sale of rooms, food and beverage and other minor services
like spa, laundry, health club, and so on so for. The sale of room constitutes
more than 55% of the total revenue of a hotel; therefore, the major margin of
hotel’s profit comes from the rooms as it can be sold over and over again. Here,
the Housekeeping comes into action by preparing the room ready for sale again.
There
are various segmentation of the Housekeeping Department like Laundry, Rooms,
Horticulture, Public Area, Linen Room and in some cases, Health Club and Spa as
well. The combined effort of all the personnel from housekeeping gives a
desirable environment for the guest to stay and enhances his experience in the
hotel.
